Radio Broadcasters Summit · Johannesburg 2027 · 20–21 April · Johannesburg, South Africa
About the summit
The 7th edition of Africa's radio summit, in Johannesburg.
2027 theme
Radio everywhere: reach, revenue and relevance
Radio remains Africa's most trusted and most widely used medium. But listening is spreading across FM, digital radio, streaming apps, smart speakers, podcasts and social video, and advertisers are following the audience. Several markets are now moving on digital sound broadcasting, with DAB+ and related standards being rolled out or trialled, while cloud playout and IP links are changing how stations are built and run.
Now in its 7th edition, the Radio Broadcasters Summit - Africa brings together public and commercial broadcasters, community stations, podcasters, technology providers and regulators in Johannesburg to look at how radio keeps its reach and grows its revenue across every platform listeners use. The Summit is practical by design, with sessions on monetisation, measurement, digital distribution and the operational choices station managers face right now.
